Taylor Simone, who is the widow of the late celebrated actor Chadwick Boseman has accepted the Thespian’s Golden Globe award on his behalf.
The black panther star reportedly succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 43 after a silent four-year battle with the terminal illness.
Since his tragic death, Mr. Boseman was on numerous occasions been recognized in the film industry for his remarkable on-screen performances through the years.
The late actor received the Golden Globe Token and won the best performance by an Actor in Motion picture drama for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” where the actor beat the likes of Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal), Anthony Hopkins (The Father), Gary Oldman (Mank) and Tahar Rahim (The Mauritanian) for the gong, which his proud wife accepted in an emotional speech.

The grief-stricken widow who tied the knot with the late actor before his death in 2020 after their engagement in October 2019 disclosed that her late husband would thank “his incredible team”.
“He would say something beautiful, something inspiring, something that would amplify that little voice that tells you can, that tells you the keep going, that calls you back to what you are meant to be doing at this moment in history.” She concluded her acceptance speech.
