These products were provided in exchange for my honest review - all opinions are my own!
If you talked to me 2 years ago, oils were not a part of my skincare routine! They seemed like they wouldn't help my skin; but, face oils are absolutely amazing!

Here is a look at the beauty oils:
100% Marula Oil ~ 0.5 oz for $10.99 (Also available in 1 oz for $19.99). Marula Oil is an all-natural, cold pressed, highly nutritious, light textured oil that is now hailed as "miracle oil " by modern science for its amazing anti ageing properties. The Marula oil comes from the seeds of the Marula tree that is found in Southern Africa. This multipurpose oil contains powerful antioxidants, high concentrations of nutrients, minerals and essential fatty acids that protect against environmental aggressors, reverse photodamage, boost cellular activity, hydrate at the deepest levels and repair the skin . It visibly reduces the look of existing wrinkles, from pesky crow’s feet to the parentheses marks framing your lips . The anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties of Marula Oil reduce the need for preservatives. Marula Oil has a clear, pale, golden-brown color with a pleasant sweet aroma. Use as a night time moisturizer and makeup remover. Use on your hair to give it a glossy non oily sheen and tame frizz.
I was excited to try this "miracle oil" and Marula oil has been raved about all over - including in Allure and Cosmopolitan! The molecules in Marula oil are smaller than in most facial oils and allow it to absorb deeper in to the skin!
This oil is awesome! I have been using it nightly before applying my emulsion and moisturizer - use it where you would normally use your serum. In fact, it is so moisturizing, you could go without moisturizer if you really wanted to! (I love my 10 step routine, so I will add multiple layers of deep moisturizers!)
This may by one of the best facial oils I have ever used and my skin has thanked me for using this! The oil is light in colour and has a light, almost nutty scent! My skin's overall appearance has improved and I can see the reduction in some of my sun spots, and my skin looks smoother! I am very happy with this and will be repurchasing!
Here is a look at the 2nd oil:
100% Baobab Oil ~ 0.5 oz for $8.99 (also available in 1 oz for $14.99). Baobab oil is obtained from the seeds of Adansonia tree, one of the most characteristic trees of Africa, often called the upside down tree because it looks as though it is growing roots upwards. The seeds are found in large capsule-like fruit which grow on baobab trees. The fruit mature during the dry season and drop off the trees when ready to harvest. People living in rural areas collect the fruit from under the trees. The fruit are transported to our processing facility. Here the fruit are cracked open and the inside powder and seed is removed.
The seeds are extracted from baobab fruit by cracking the hard outer capsule. The extracted seeds are then washed to remove a powder coating and then air dried in the hot sun. . Baobab oil is made by a cold pressing process. A press, or expeller, ‘squeezes’ the oil from the baobab seed. The newly pressed oil is immediately filtered to help clarify the oil which is then bottled. Our baobab oil has not undergone any further refinement or processing and has no additives. We are proud to say that our oil is 100% pure.
The oil is quite viscous, with a rich, silky feel and a mild aroma. Baobab oil is an excellent moisturizer , ideal for numerous cosmetic applications and has many therapeutic properties. It protects the skin from excessive high and low temperatures, promotes rejuvenation of skin cells, promotes wound healing, prevents the skin from free radical damage. It can be used as a massage oil, a home remedy for stretch marks, as a hair conditioner for controlling fizz and reducing hair loss , for nail care and dental care.
Baobab oil has multiple uses - wound healing, massage oil, remedy for stretch marks and as a hair conditioner. Again, this oil is 100% and is not processed at all after the initial oil pressing process. I have used this oil primarily as a hair conditioner and as a leave-in hair treatment.
I followed the article on how to use this as a hair conditioner/pre-shampoo treatment - it is like doing a hot oil treatment on your hair! I can't remember the last time I did a treatment like that to my hair and it worked so well - my hair was very smooth after! I have also used this on my hair as a leave-in treatment. I just add a tiny bit to dry hair to smooth out any frizziness and make my hair look nice and smooth!
This is a little darker and thicker than the Marula oil, but also goes on very smooth! While I have only tried this as a hair product, I do love how versatile this is and may try using it on my stretch marks as well!!
Of the 2, I have to say that while I am liking the Baobab Oil, I am absolutely loving the Marula Oil! Both products are different and offer some great benefits!
Have you had a chance to try either of these oils before? I would love to hear what you think!
