I'm too excited, I have won a giveaway held by Landlocked Mermaid! She is so kind, she had a wonderful giveaway and then picked two more winners, and I was one! So thank you so much to Landlocked Mermaid. For those of your not familiar with her blog, head right on over and tell her hello, her posts are always entertaining, and she has great taste. I can't wait to get home, because I will have two giveaway treats waiting for me when I return home! So thanks again, Landlocked Mermaid!
Also, Seersucker and Sundresses, for some reason, blogger won't let me comment on your posts, but I just wanted to let you know, if you are reading this, I LOVE the duck boot option in your latest post, and I adore your post title and the music playing on your blog!!
Today, the girls of the house woke up early to visit some boutique stores right in town about 5 minutes away. We normally just got to a row of shops that is home to some Vera Bradley, and other little nick-nacks, but since last year, new boutiques had opened up, so we went there instead. The boutiques are fabulous. I got this gorgeous navy blue dress (I'll probably wear it to a sorority function or something fancy) and it was only $30. Who can't be an evening dress for $30! I'll post a picture of it whenever I find the place to wear it (a picture of it off-body just does not do it justice). I also got this cute little make up holder with rhinestones placed in the shape of a crown for my little. My little is going to be one lucky lady when big/little week rolls around! When we are shopping, I saw these adorable little "buckets". I can't really think of anything else to call them. They were pink and crowned shape, but they were not for sale, they were holding lip glosses and such as decoration for the store! I wanted to buy them so badly for my little. So I took a picture and am going to go to Michaels sometime next week to find supplies so I can try and recreate these beauties:
It looks like it is just made from thick felt, with pink rhinestones, and sewed very simply to a thick felt bottom. I think I can recreate these, so we'll see!
Another thing I found during my shopping trip, was this adorable pink and green jacket:
The picture really doesn't do it justice, I didn't recognize the brand, and sadly it was not my size, but I just had to take a picture to share with my blogging friends!
Also while shopping, I kept coming accross these very reasonably priced shoes called Yellowbox. Has anyone ever heard of them? They weren't high quality, and probabaly would only last you a season or two, but they had some very cute flip-flops that somewhat reminded me of the Molly B. sandals.
Well tomorrow is our last day/night at the lake :( Sunday we'll be driving the 12 hours back to reality! At least I have Grey's Anatomy, Sex and the City, and Seven Pounds to keep me sane!
I hope everyone is starting their weekend off well! Have a great Friday!
Yours,
sCe
