It's been nearly a week since Justin Bieber abruptly canceled his world tour, and now In Touch has exclusively learned that he's been reaching out to his famous ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Although the former couple ended their toxic romance in 2014, the Biebs still seeks her out during difficult times. A source told us, "He actually called Selena several times when he decided to cancel his tour... He said he wants to spend time with old friends and rest."
In recent months, the 23-year-old has felt overwhelmed by fame and his love/hate relationship with attention, which is why friends say he's now recommitted himself to his Christian faith to help cope — but that hasn't stopped him from partying more than ever. "In the last two weeks, Justin has told close friends that he's rethinking his life and wants to 'follow a new path.' He talks about God nonstop," the source said. And after nearly two years of touring, "He does need some rest, but people in his camp also think something's up," another insider added. A friend explained, "One minute Justin's praying and the next minute he's partying. He's all over the place and is a nightmare to deal with."

Although Justin briefly cleaned up his act after being arrested in 2014 on a DUI charge in Miami Beach, he was sliding back into his old habits by early 2016. That April, Justin reportedly destroyed the phone of a man trying to record him drinking from a beer bong at Clé nightclub in Houston. Then in May — one day after declaring on Instagram that he was "done taking pictures" with fans because he felt "like a zoo animal" — Justin was seen doing rounds of shots at Boston's Storyville nightclub, where he racked up a $2,400 tab. Most recently, the pop star hit a paparazzo with his car while leaving church.
"Justin's mom [Pattie Mallette] and manager [Scooter] are worried sick that Justin may not be thinking properly," the Justin insider said. "But they both support his decision to take time off." Like any past relationship, though, it's probably not the best idea to reach out to your ex!
